These reporters don't learn shit from anything, especially in these 20 years. Admittedly, I haven't read much on the matters of Afghanistan, the same concerns trolling bullshit from the media is simply off-putting. I'm sick of their performative outrage & I'm sick of them pointing their high & mighty fingers at the wrong people. Shit like that, is how perpetrators get away, time & time again, like ol' Dubya & Dicky's legacies being rewritten in real-time. The extraction was always gonna be a problem. Always. Biden could've offered them force shields & the enemy forces would've found a way to get through that. Doesn't help that Trump freed these dudes causing havoc over there. But, nah, it's Biden's fault & it has to be outrage to drive clicks. Doesn't have to be this away, yet it is.

Afghanistan is where bin Laden concocted the plan for the 9/11 attacks. I was a year deep in my military service when this happened and there wasn't anyone who thought sending troops to Afghanistan was a bad idea. There were a lot of calls for making sure that this effort didn't turn into another Vietnam even then.

Iraq is the country that Dubya decided to throw troops at because 'they tried to kill my daddy'. We still have folks in Iraq to this day. That decision was big time divisive among the military.

I agree that we need to have left both of these countries at least a decade ago or more. It is heartbreaking to see how my fellow military friends are managing how things are going down in Afghanistan after many of them sacrificed years of their lives and health to support the cloudy objectives that seemed to shift from year to year.

I can't remember why we went into Afghanistan in the first place twenty years ago but it doesn't seem like we helped at all with everything happening now. I can't tell you if we should stay or go.
