What do you do with the angry old man?
Say something like, "What [in the world or #$%!@] are you talking about?!?" (And leave.)
Say something like, "I'm sorry, sir. I understand why you are upset, but please recognize that I'm responding to a 911 call about a burgulary in progress, and I had some procedures I had to follow."
Get in an angry argument until one of you backs down a bit or leaves.
Arrest him for disorderly conduct.
