I admit that in this category I've only seen "The Princess and the Frog," which was terrific, and "Up." It was hard to choose, but I have to go with "Up." Among all the other things that were wonderful about this film, I really appreciate it for celebrating its main character, a lonely old man--which is a very under-celebrated demographic. The sequence which depicted the history of Carl's marriage in a series of vignettes without words was worth the award all by itself.
