Ravidassia can not sustain for long as a religion. No Guru, Saint ever preached any religion but their teachings have been for whole of the universe for all creatures on this earth. Only after the death of gurus and saints their followers gave the name of religion. Lord Christ. lord Buddha,Hazrat Mohammad , Guru Nanak preached for universal brotherhood and raised their voice against the tyranny of rulers and social evils but no where claimed to be laying foundation of Christianity, Buddhism, Islam or Sikhism. Religious places have rather become hate breeding centres where you are taught to love but you learn to hate. Similarly religious schools have become nurseries of spreading hate and terrorism. By promoting Ravidassia as a religion we are promoting hate not brotherhood and falling in line what others are doing to divide humans.
We should read understand and follow teachings of all religions to promote universal brotherhood and to understand GOD. Blind faiths and religious practices should be discarded. Man tries to be above GOD. First we gave names to days then assigned different days to different gods. If cow slaughter is a sin it is a sin for all. By becoming a Muslim and then committing cow slaughter one is not absolved of the sin. GOD do not differentiate between its creatures. It is sheer foolishness to believe blindly in any religion and then think of protection under the garb of religious practices and customs.
Also theory of rebirth and karma is debate able. Theory of REBIRTH fails to explain burgeoning population and theory of KARMA fails to explain killing of innocent animals by others. Also it seems that this universe has not been created by any GOD but by the forces of NATURE. It seems Nature is supreme not the GOD. So read and understand teachings with open and analytic mind but not blindly.
If we want to promote a separate religion, promote only ADI DHARM. It is the great great grand father of Indian religious thoughts. It was the religion practised by ab original Indians before the settling of Aryans. Aryans started settling about 7500 years ago.However there existed religion and religious practices before that.These religious practices and ceremonies are still prevalent in poor backward and tribals of India. We need to study these and preach ADI DHARM as a religion not of chuhra and chamars but a much wider religion. I appeal to all to discard your religious identities and start declaring yourself as an ADI DHARM. We should compile teachings of saints and gurus in AD DHARM GRANTH to make it a universal religion.

Ravidassia Community largely used Ramdia to describe their caste until 2001 when an election petition was decided by Punjab and Haryana High Court in favour of Sohan Singh Dhaliwal(a Mazhabi by caste) an Ex M.L.A. of congress party from 1957. The reason being that Ramdasia was not included in the Sechedule of castes in the constitution, thus Akali Minister, Satwant Kaur Sandhu was unseated. Sohan Singh Died before this decision and thus the matter became standstill and of no legal force for execution of the order. Satwant Kaur Sandhu, I believe as far as I remember wrote her caste as Ramdasia, therefore, was unqualified to contest election from a reserve constituency. The idea behind this is if they were dasses of Ram, a Hindu high caste God than they should not be availing themselves of reservation benefits even though I sypathise with them for their ignorance and desire to tell Hindus that they also worship lord Ram. Founder of Constitution Dr. B.R. Ambedkar was not a Chumar or Ravidassia by caste but beyond caste probably felt if they are dasses (slaves) of Ram then they should get reservation from Ram. Satwant Kaur filed an appeal in the Supreme Court of India against the order of H.C. but S.C. did not vacate the Stay Order of H.C.
It was only because Ravidass's bani was included in Shri Guru Granth Sahib that they became near Sikhs but soon got dismayed by Jat caste's steady attitude towards them as well as Mazhabies who were largely in Guru Gobind Singh's Army. One Bhai Jatta (Baba Jiwan Singh even brought Guru Teg Bahadur's head which was on display in Delhi. In Chamkaur Sahib a DDPO Jaswant Singh was instrumental in building a largest guruduwara in the middle of two Jat Guruduwaras, in the name of Bhai Jatta who died fighting for Guru Gobind Singh at Chamkaur the Garhi.

Separation from the GGS and Sikhism is a very silly any hurtful thought. I am fully in favour of supporting our Ravidass community however excluding other is tottally against principals of Guru Ravidass I for one would never move away from teachings of Ravidass nor teachings of other Gurus.

I am not in favour of amritvani,because this is not the finial thing.We should reserch the life and teaching of Sant shrimani Guru Ravidas ji and his Vani from all over India because he did not say only few shabidas and shelooks in his 150 long life time.Shri Guru Ravidas Foundation of India,Chandigarh and New Delhi was working under the Presidentship of late Babu Jagjevan Ram,Ex.Dty.Prime Minster of India and lateAcharya Prithvi Singh Azad,Ex Minister,Punjab.We must contact with Shri Ravidas Foundation of India regarding the reserch they done.This is not a matter of only for Punjab state but it is matter of whole of India Ravidasia community.
