when i was a kid around 10 or so my family would eat this for dinner. they made it look so good so i decided to try and i loved it. i kept on eating and they later said you eat this enough your gonna become psycho. then i started to belive it but it really isnt true i just think they wanted more for themselves. lol.
After seeing the photos and reading your description, I'm almost willing to try it. But t has to be fresh eggs from chickens hanging out free on pastured lands. No cooped-up factory chicken egg for me. My mom thinks balut is delish. At least she talks a good game that it is. Sometimes I wonder now if she says it just to see me shudder. But I might be inclined to try it cooked in ways you've suggested.
