okay..first of all he should have concentrated more on Abhishek falling in love with Ash in the movie, jus showing that she jumped when he was about to kill her wasnt enough to convince the audience about his Love.
Second...Govinda wasnt needed in the movie. and i didnt get the story. he was gonna use ashwarya to make a compromise with the police...then why did they show him tryin to kill her in the begning??

I was planning to watch this movie... just because of ash, ARR and maniratnum.. but after all the views.. Im not going to waste my time... Music is not good.. I dont like abhishek bachan.. hes just in the industry because of his father and now will stay for little long becuase of his wife.. thats it..

i think director should not think according to his point of view. he should think what people would like to watch.
in raavan i think all concentration has been given on acting only. acting is good but only this cant make a movie good, a good movie should have all the ingrediants, i.e story, acting, direction, music, emotions, etc

The chemistry between Abi & Ash in real life will b well blend,but not in reel life.The expectation of the movie that the promotion showed is not worthy....Yet hats of to Mr Manirathanam for the picturisation of locations..Next time we look forward for a better pairs.The movie is good

In my view Abhishek is not a hero at all. he got a wooden face. He is still alive in the field because he is the son of Amitabh. Never expect any kind of expression on his face to have affect on the audience. In my view he is simply living on the grace of the universal beauty. Other wise I dont under stand such a great and versatile director Manirathnam is always prefer him as a hero. Yuva has gone well in tamil coz of surya. It didnt do well in hindi. Guru just because of story and the performence of the queen, Madhavan,Divya and Mithun. In my view Ashwarya Roy should try alone (I mean heoine oriented films) to get some more variety of roles which will help her to bring out the real fire of action out of her. I found all her efforts r going wasted when she act with Abhishek.He should also realise how much loss he puts on the producer, distributor etc. His failures were in great number when compared to his succes. U r answerable atleat to ur consiousness.

I think there is no story in the film. We never expect this kind of film from Mani sir, but ash looks so beautiful and the location is also too good.
I think none of you got the overall theme of Ravan film. There are different aspects of viewing the film. It is drama film. Its like Delhi 6 . Want to view the movie like that.

I dont know why maniratnam not sitting at home! and making such a vague ...boaring movies........all in his movies we can appreciate only his exotic locations and scenic beauties but from a lay man point of view those are just a tit bits but where is the entertainment....there should be some exiting and intersting bits......movie is what ..thrill where is that.................i better want to mail maniratnam directly requesting him to please stop making movies and better to join as a light boy under Shankar the thriller boy.

talking about raavan the cinematography was the only thing that would score full marks and rest of the things were not up to the mark and the main drawback of the movie was its screenoplay which was a greatest puzzle in my life and i thing people expected a lot more from the trio{abhi, ash, mani ratnam sir}

2) Horrible, noisy music by ARR. He has lost the Midas touch, He had done it in Blue.
3) Melodramatic acting by one and all.

for me raavan is not up to mark as guru and yuva where the actor junior bachan had shown the real ant typical character that i never forget.in ravan ,i think the story is not good.it neither gives happy or emotion at any stage.but ash looks so beautiful and cute in this movie...finally as per the acting all hav done the good work but the story killed the popularity..thanks..
