Hello.
In a similar vein, my ma (who is from Middlesbrough. That is up north too) incouraged us to dip the crusts from our sandwiches into tea too. So, im sure that toast would work. And, may i say, crusts in tea was lovely. It left a slight sludgy residue at the bottom of the tea. But it were worth it. :)
