Your journey is indeed commendable. Your approach to your new religion is quite pragmatic. It is good you arent rushing into things and taking it 'one by one'. This will be very critical to your future beliefs as well as your views about different stuff in the future...and it depends a great deal on how you take things now.
Soon there will be all kinds of challenges, and not just from the non-Islamic world, but even the Islamic world. For instace you may be critisized, and even labeled as KAFIR for finding a solace in the mausoleum in Qum. Its imperative that you dont rush into things and start regreting any of your past...you non-muslim past as well as your muslim past...

Allah, you are the greatest!! Allah, you are the Mighty, the most Kind, the most powerful, and our creator. Thank you so much Allah that you did hidayah to this respectable women and made us strong to be successful in completing a peace mission.
Dear Sister,
I don’t have have any word to express my feelings that how awesome I’m feeling to hear this great news! Indeed, the Mighty helped you to choose the right and the wrong path of life. Have you started to read the hadith and all those stories? If you get some time then try to understand the main point, which is, the world is temporary. You see all we are doing for this world will never last forever. We all have to face Allah because we came from him. You’re beautiful, Allah made you beautiful. But if you save your beauty by wearing comfortable and lose covered cloths and hijab for Allah’s sake and his happiness, your rewards are waiting for you. And those rewards will last forever and forever and forever. This world is just a battle field for fighting against the Satan. Now that you have inferred the truth, Satan will try even harder to fail you, to bring you back to your old world because that is his major intention. He will persevere in being successful in this. But you have to be strong to shield yourself. Following Allah’s direction sincerely and calmly is your protective armor. The more you believe in him ( Allah) , the better you will be to fight against Satan. Satan hates peace, polite, calm. Make your soul this much pure and behave this much innocent that even bad people will cry for doing misbehave with you; that is, Islam makes people this much innocent that no religion has any power to do so. And we are so powerful because we are the followers of Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings be upon him) and that is why Jesus cried to Allah to be a follower of Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings be upon him) and therefore he didn’t die, Allah took him, but Allah will send him back before the Kayamah starts. So just imagine how much lucky you are that now you have become a follower of Prophet Muhammad (peace & blessings be upon him)!!!
