Is there a particular color of playing pieces that you *have* to play?

I seem to play yellow more often than any other color, too, for the same reason as Stance, Tim and Jim. Perhaps the people who try to get other people into gaming wind up playing the "left over" color. I do like yellow outside of gaming, though.

But the only color I have trouble playing is blue, because it's my wife's color and that makes it hard for me to think of it as my color.

That's funny that yellow is winning the poll. I started picking yellow many years ago because people often fought over the green, blue, and red. Know everyone knows I "prefer" yellow and I usually get it. I really don't care (though red would always be my last choice) but I'm so used to being yellow that on the rare occassion that someone else grabs yellow first, I tend to mistakenly move their pieces on my turn.

I prefer Purple, if available. Next, Orange. If neither is available I prefer Black, followed in order by Yellow, Blue.

Wow, lots of people picking yellow for some reason. Like Stance, I only pick yellow because that's usually the only colour nobody will insist on being, and it means that I'll have a consistent colour between games.

I pick yellow because for a long time it was the unchosen color in our group. Everybody was saying that they didn't care what color they wanted, so it actually could take a few minutes to assign colors. I now pick yellow and that gets the ball rolling.

I have a preference for Purple when Purple is available, unless someone else is adamit about playing Purple, otherwise I don't really care. Once upon a time I might have stated a preference, but as time goes by, it has becme less important to me and I tend to choose last or take what's left.
