Is it rude to photograph food when dining out?

I think that conventions are changing. I hate the fact that some restaurants are smug enough to sell really mediocre food and charge high prices for it. If you invite people off the street to eat your food you better make it a good experience. In this new developing era of social media and blogging it is the best protection for consumers and for good restaurants to get a fair deal. Not every business has a big advertising budget so social media is a brilliant way for people to communicate their experiences to a wider audience. I think there may be some resistance but soon enough restauranteurs will realised they have to go with the flow. I always google a restaurant these days before I go to get a realistic view of other people dining experience at the venue. It may influence my choice so it's a good way to keep standards high and customer satisfaction on top of the menu. Serena keep that camera with you.
