My opinion is they really should have use the people of the front cover of the book who they represent them to be ( jace,clary...) because though the whole book you kinda imagine those people doing and saying thoses things.

I agree Jace doesn't fit: but Simon is even worse because he needs to be more nerdy looking and the type of dude that is ordinary (and pro!) My friend thinks that no one deserves to play Simon because he is way too awesome. Good luck impressing her in this case- she thought all the suggestions pretty much stunk!

I think Asher Book would be the perfect Simon. I was initially all for Logan Lerman, seeing as he has a nice simon appeal to him, but just from looking and watching a few of Asher's movies its clear he's the ideal choice. He has that cute boyish best friend vibe to him, but has the potential to be really hot as a vampire (i meen REALLY hot). He even fits the dark hair and eye description Cassandra wrote about in the books! Since the Jace casting was so awful i really want the actor for Simon to fit the role and thats why Asher's the best choice!

well i think kristphor turner is the perfect part for simon not only because simon is described as a nerdy guy next door, BUT he has a likable cuteness about him and as his character progresses into a total babe..... which i believe kris is perfect for and yes he can rock glasses and still look hot! so clare look him up please DONT DISSAPOINT ME!

The actor for Jace was horrible so Simon should be hot even though I loved Simon in the first place! So Logan would be perfect!

I think that the choice for Jace was bad. I am hoping they pick better actors for the rest of the cast. Lily Collins is ok but i think, being a ginger myself, they should have picked a true ginger, not a dyed one.

JCB is not an ideal choice at all. I just hope the cast members are picked wisely. I do not want this to be like twilight, completely ruining the series.

honestly i think that jcb for jace is an awful choice. he is not jace-like at all. and simon is gonna be a vamp so he should definately be cute. if you throw glasses on Logan Lerman, he'll be perfect!

I think that Devon Bostick should play Simon! For some reason I just imagine him when I read the books and I could see him match with the series perfectly.

Simon is supposed to have to potential to be hot as he does turn into a vampire and becomes really sexy. So that's why I vote for Asher Book.

i think what most people are forgetting is that simon is not this hot jace like guy. he is a cute, geeky friendly guy. im not saying he has to be totally unattractive in the movie but i think viewers just need to focus on picking the right "Simon" and not just some hot guy

I vote for Lerman, and I personally think he's waaY more beautiful than JCB, which some are hell-bent on him for Jace.
