Do Marion True's efforts at reform outweigh her own role in the illicit antiquities trade?

At least she had the chutzpah during the time that all the art museums were dithering about this issue to actually move the Getty forward. She was left with a bad situation at the Getty when she assumed the reins and was bound to make mistakes because there were no precedents. A curator who can step into the fray and lead is much preferable to a curator who just talks, but does not act.
