Calm yourselves. Having a year of clinical experience before taking Step 1 can only improve your score.
It's not a paradox - Step 1 helps prepare you for 3rd year, sure, but not the reverse: by the time 3rd year is done you won't remember any of the molecular stuff.
Dude, Step 1 and 3rd year are so different that one can't prepare you for the other
