How much prep work do you do?

We steam everything that comes into the shop that requires it. I feel that I sell more as the shop looks equivalent to any retail store and it simply shows that we care. I often am asked if my store is a Consignment store and very positive comments about the clothing in the store.

It makes sense to take the time as I do not wish to look like the local Thrift Store

If I do make an exception, I don't let the consignor know because I don't want them thinking I will always do that! But the item must be really nice or I really want it for my store.
