I drink a lot of tea, from 5:30am to 10:00pm, and insist on properly brewed, strong black tea (loose leaf). I love Darjeeling, Earl Grey and English Breakfast as well as some proprietary blends such as Yorkshire Gold. I usually drink it unadorned but sometimes enjoy it with just a splash of milk.
Nothing beats a good strong cuppa of English Breakfast, I love Earl Grey and Darjeeling.
Being a Tea lover I feel it's my duty to say that many have mentioned herbal infusions as their favourite "tea" blend, if it's not made with Camellia Sinensis then it's *not* tea but Infusions or Tisanes.
You can get Red Rose in the States... My grandma always had it when I was a kid and she would give me the ceramic animals! I got some in a supermarket in Oregon once more recently, too. Love it!
I adore Earl Grey, but only in the afternoon. In the morning, it's green for me, after supper, mint, in the evening, decaf chai or orange, and at bedtime, chamomile. Yeah, I'm a tea junkie.
As cool as it was to hear Captain Jean-Luc Picard ask for "tea, Earl Gray, hot," can I just say that I find Earl Gray pretty yucky. To me it tastes like dirty dishwater. Blech - bergamot! ;-)
My daily tea is Tazo "Awake" black tea sweetened with a bit of Agave nectar. S'pose that's not authentically British, but it's my fave. Also quite excellent: PG Tips loose leaf black tea, though since my teapot-infuser broke, I haven't had that in a while.
I love the smokey taste of a hot cup of Earl Gray on a cold, dank day. When, I'm icing my tea that's a different story all together then it's a green and black tea mix!
Think I'm going to experiment this Summer with different iced teas. My goal is to use all the teas in my cupboard and start fresh in the Fall with all new stock. Sound like a plan?
I was torn between Earl Grey, Darjeeling and Green Tea (in no particular order!). But I have a soft spot for Earl Grey... because of a certain French starship captain. Hahaha!
Earl Grey resets me!!!

Although I'm a fan of all tea (except herbal tea - blech), a steaming mug of malty Assam is my favorite way to start the day.
My daily cuppa is a mix of PG Tips & peppermint
Twinnings Earl Grey, and Yorkshire are my go-to cuppas. I also do enjoy matcha, but good quality matcha is expensive.
Make mine Yorkshire Gold. Served at Betty's in York please.

The day is not complete without a cup of tea. I also have to say that drinking a good cup of tea in a pretty cup makes it a treat.
