Most of these people hate him because of his playing years. He may have terrorized his opponents and talked trash to their fans. All you people that hate him must be philly fans. Lol. Raider nation definitely some haters since he stopped you from joining the elite with more super bowl rings. Sorry haters. From a true Bucs Fan.

He's awful for all the reasons stated in previous comments (stupid faces, tigger giggle, etc). He comes across as trying too hard to be a combination of lovable fat guy/hard ass/comedian. When they have current players on, and Sapp is running through his cast of on camera personas as he tries to impress them and remind them of how good he used to be, the current players can barely hide how much of a douche bag they think he is.

As one comment stated, "Stop hiring thugs who rant, make stupid faces when they talk, and preach instead of giving a strong intelligent view." Willie McGinnest is the anti-Sapp, and the perfect example of what this comment embodies. Great hire. It's refreshing to listen to a restrained, intelligent take by a guy who has a handful of jewelry, yet doesn't have to act like a clown out of the insecurity that comes with being a "former" player.

And since this is my first/only comment I've ever made on this site, I might as well post this here rather than just rant to my wife about it when it comes on:

HOW THE HELL IS DEION SANDERS WASHINGTON REDSKINS CONTRACT NOT IN THE TOP 10 WORST FREE AGENT SIGNINGS EVER???!!! You guys need to grow a set of nuts.

    Karma strikes the Raider hater.

They should keep if only for another year just to see how hard he works and how humbling he can be knowing that he really has to work and life... his life anyway is not ALL party. Sapp is good and he does show promise, HOWEVER , The NFL Network has given him more than enough chances to right his wrong..

Where was the poll option for "never should have hired the idiot in the first place"?

  • joetoronto - 12 years ago

I'm just like Sapp in many ways...ignorant, childish and egotistical. I would like to apologize to everyone for being a tool on this blog for several years. The fact is, I'm an idiot and a Raiders fan. What else would you expect?
Thanks for listening and please just ignore me in the future.

Sapp's mouth overruns his brain on a regular basis. No loss here.

Happened to like Warren Sapp alot would take him over Michael Ervin any day of the week he is a very insightful in his commentery plus I can understan what he is talking about. Fox or CBS should pick him up right away.

Sapp is a terrible terrible "analyst" and his "Tigger Giggle" he does after every sentence makes my skin crawl.

When I turn on NFLN I immediately turn it off if Sapp, Deion, Jamie Dukes, Brian Baldinger or Brian Billick is on. They are all arrogant blowhards that do little to no research and just love to hear the sound of their own voices.

  • don wokurka - 12 years ago

not only did he completly rip off the RAIDERS with his slack play then rip them... he's a complete tool!!!!

    I never liked Sapp,even when he was a RAIDER........Just another n@#$%^r thug...

As a life-long Bucs fan, I love Sapp for being a beast D tackle and probably a HOF member - but - as a person, he always demonstrated a lack of class with the public, press and obviously his baby mama's. He doesn't deserve the right to be able to spout his tainted rhetoric on anyone and NFL network should keep him benched for life. Maybe Warren can get a real job, pay his child support and come to grips with the fact he ruined his fortune and maybe his future simply because he feels entitled.
As with all public personas, there is more to the story for sure, yet with Warren you get the feeling the QB Killa is exactly who he appears to be on the outside. Peace out 99, see ya in Canton.....

Given the bounty scandal and App's Twitter account of qbkiller it is really a bad image. I never liked him personally and the image damaged to NFL for me even before bountygate. Time to retire him.

The NFL Network is a very good resource for fans. Please stop hiring ex-players that have no ability to talk in front of a camera. Stop hiring thugs who rant, make stupid faces when they talk, and preach instead of giving a strong intelligent view.

They shouldn't keep him, not because of his "reporting", but because he's terrible.
