Do you think the welfare drug test law is fair?

It's very simple to pass a drug test. Especially if you know when it's going to be. Most of the users knew the test was coming when they entered the building, I mean hell it was all over the news. It's like this "I'm gonna give you free money if you show up with blonde hair it'll be next Wednesday from 8:am to 4:pm. There may be about 2% that show up without blonde hair. Tell them from now on it will be a hair folicle test and see how many show up bald.

I'm sure the sorry bastards that are using drugs will find some way to beat the system on the drug test. Is the drug test monitored? I doubt it, I would like to see the way they are handling the test. I'm all for it but do it where they can't beat it if they are using. I have had to take a drug test for every job I have had for the past 20 years whether is was minimum wage or a six figure salary. There is no way only 2% of welfare recipients in Florida failed it!!!

What do I care about what these people spend their dole on? Money's gone anyway.

All drug testing is unfair, even those tests for employment. If a person can show up to work and fulfill the duties required, the employer has no right to know what the employee does on his own time. If the concern is that people might show up to work impaired, then why aren't employees tested daily to ensure they have not come to work intoxicated on alcohol. If lawmakers are so intent on testing citizens to keep them from obtaining government benefits, then why don't they push for drug testing for all candidates who file for elected office? Because it's unconstitutional, that's why.

When I worked in the Aerospace Industry I had to take drug tests several times each year in order to keep my security clearances and thus my job. This is true for many segments of both industry and government. I even have had to take drug tests for every new job in the auto industry, so why were these mandatory tests not an invasion of my civil rights?
I think if you want government welfare dollars you should take a drug test just like those employees whose tax dollars are spent supporting you.
