Everyone deserves a fair trial, even if the media hates them

I have started several times to write a comment in reply to the situation of Mr. Zimmerman and the person that calls himself a judge that ruled on his case to set him free for $15,000.00. Mr. Zimmerman during ti initial on start of the incident was asked if he was following Trayvon. His answer was "YES". The 911 attendant instructed him not to do that by telling him that he did not need to do that. If Mr. Zimmerman had taken that advice and gone back to his vehicle none of this would have happen. After the killing, Mr. Zimmerman was not arrested and placed behind bars. It took in excess of 40 days, with multiple protest by thousands of people, both Black and White to have the wheels of justice to turn. By the outcome of the situation Mr. Zimmerman should be held to the highest punishment that the court can justify. Instead, Mr. Zimmerman walks to freedom for $15K. There is so much more that I can say about this judge, but to even think of him as a man make me sick all in my guts.

Only in America can we find just how far America has moved away from The 60's Jim Crow south. Not far at all. What has become very clear to the Black community is this: that whites in power will use that same power to exercise uncontrolled hatred against Blacks.

Serving and Proteceing in not intended to include people of color, specifically Black people who are held to a different and higer standart when accused of breaking the same kind of laws that George Zimmerman broke. Had a black man killed a white teenager, the outcome and the outcry in the white community for justice to be served would've ended badly, even if his or parent held a high position in the communtiy.

In fact, a black man would be very fortunats to even make it trial:
Tht is if somewhere between getting arrested at the scene of the crime, and being booked into County jail something really bad could happen. In fact, being Black almost in most cases "something really bad happening" is almost a given, and garenteed will happen. Their cover for any mishap to the person in custody would probably be he or she were "resting arrest."

So until enough of us in the Black community starts rallying together to put an end to the injustices perpertrated against our black citizens, nothing will change. Waiting for someone else to enter the dance floor first is not really an option either. While most Blacks in promient positions could be doing something , most may be concerned for their own precariously acceptability in the eyes of the white community that these persons would be willing to avoid getting involved simply to protect their "place" by staying in the good graces of the white audences. Don't believe me? How many black entertainers have stepped up to speak out against the injustices and humilty that Trevon's family has had and still has to endure in this long night trying to find justice and closure for the parents of Trevon? None that I'm aware of. At any rate, noting is going to change until our community is willing to peacefully fight back against a corupt and Racist Criminal Justice system. Any other stance would be unacceptable, and should not be tolerated. The qustion for all of us to answer is this: how many more Trevon Martins and their families must die before we as a community are willing to fight for changing that same system which are supposed "to serve and protect" even our community? Please do not wait until something like this happens again. Now it's your move.

How can anyone excuse Zimmerman's actions? You ask how can the arrive be biased, Sanford and this screwed up judicial system has. Web biased and racist the entire time. Calling a spade of spade, if the roles were reversed, we all know there would be no bail granted and a black man would've been arrested at te scene if not killed. The fact that this slime bag is walking the streets again is further evidence of corruption of the law and that racism still exist

Sorry, but thus thing needs to be treated exactly how he treated Trayvon Martin then be shot. Like that famous saying. What goes around comes around.

I think he should die in jail the same way he killed The Martine son

  • D. Fields - 12 years ago

Would it be right for a clan of people to hunt, and kill this son of a bitch? How fast would we, or I be arrested, charged, thrown in jail, given no bail, and convicted? I feel that this would be JUSTICE for Trayvon Martin. I would do the time just for serving JUSTICE on Zimmerman... Sanford, and all yuh crooked, racist, unethical, bastards need to be mass murdered! To hell with yuh sweet dick willy, candy yam, dick suckin futher muckers!

God is always watching and I hope that they continue praying and giving praise to God. God is the only Judge that matters so if he gets "a pass" on earth dont worry because God will Judge him in the end. GODBLESS THE MARTIN FAMILY R.I.P TRAYVON MARTIN

I would like to know who voted "yes" to this foolishness of him being granted bail...

  • marvin - 12 years ago

Why was this report so extremely biased?

Why did it not show the proof of what George Zimmerman, the police, and some witnesses also reported, but was left out of the report here? I hope everyone who read this will also look at several other reports.
