Tablesaw Guards: Useful, useless, used, discarded?

My tablesaw came with a guard. It is around here somewhere. Probably should use it. Never do.

I refuse to use my tablesaw with a guard. They make the tool more dangerous than not having it at all.

I try to use my guard when I can. I'm usually successful.

I'm religious about the use of the guard. Excluding trenching (where the guard cannot be used. I use (would use if I had one) a microsplitter

I'm fanatical about the use of the guard. The saw does not get switched on without it. If I cannot do a job because of the guard, I find another machine/tool

I have a SawStop!

I was actually looking to buy the saw stop machine but the prices are just crazy.

Actually I do put the guard on if the grandkids are around (so they don't throw something on the table and damage the blade)
