My vote this time around is for the politically incorrect baby animal meat (someday they'll find a non-meat substitute, but until then . . .). The Italians knew what they were doing when they created this sublime, borderline mystical dish. I have to see the photographic results of whatever you decide to create, dear Emily!

Joyce--that is such a great story! I might have to bust the Sukiyaki out the next time I find a special fella.

The Sukiyaki was the first dish I EVER made for my boyfriend when I was a teenager. It turned out so well, he asked me to marry him (well, there were other reasons). It's a good recipe that still brings a smile when I see the card!
