How can you tell the difference between tourists and church-goers in an historic church?
Tourists take pictures; church folk don't. They are pretty sure they'll be back within a week anyway.
Tourists stroll and gawk; church folk sit still and read the Bible or prayer books.
Tourists look at the building; church folk look at the tourists.
It's hard to tell the difference. Joanne is just guessing.
Church-goers wear the same expression as a dinner host who knows they are going to have a lot of clean-up to do after all these guests leave.
Church-goers also have the furrowed brow of someone worrying whether the church furnace is going to kick out this year and what that will do to the church budget.
