Gary Bettman has made a mocery of this great game of ours and someone has to wake up in the NHL Higherarchy and get rid of him and bring in someone who cares about the game, who loves the history. Someone who will have the original six play each other more than once a year. Toronto is alot closer to Detroit yet Detroit has all these games against, Dallas, San Jose, and teams such as that. Bettman puts his position, and status way before the history and what really matters to Fans, player and everyone else who loves this sport.

If only the NHL can send Gary Bettman back to the NBA. The NHL isn't in the same economic stratosphere that the NFL, NBA and MLB are. Why should the players have to make all the sacrifices in order for the teams to be guaranteed profits? They did the last lockout and the issues plaguing the small market teams still exist. If only the NHL would move the teams out of the non-hockey, non-revenue markets like Phoenix, Columbus and Miami; we'd be better off having teams in Quebec City and Hamilton where hockey is a big part of the culture. Revenue sharing in the NHL needs to be more aligned with what exists in the NFL.
