  You should be able to tick more than one box - it would be interesting to see how many of the councillors are also 'professionals'

  I am a Parish Councillor. Parish Councils are statutory consultees so they are part of the planning system. However - unlike their larger cousins, the District Councils, County Councils and Unitary Authorities - Parish Councils are not Local Planning Authorities. That is why, in the end, I voted Other rather than Local Councillor.

  I am a landscape architect who works in a local authority planning department ...... I have only voted once, as "other."

  You do not make it clear whether you are interested in a repondents profession or employer

  It's interesting to see that the 'other' category is the largest group of respondents. This suggests that consideration should be given to devising additional professional categories (if the info provided will allow), unless there's some evidence to indicate that it's mostly the 'other' readership who are electing to complete the poll!

  I think I'm a town planner, who happens to work in a local authority (devt mgmt) dept.......I see there is nothing to stop me voting twice!
