I do not understand why the teens get a harder penalty then an adult? How stupid is this? Shouldn't an adult get a harsher penalty then a teen there suppose to be more responsible? (bare in mind I am an adult writing this) My opinion make the punishment even across the board texting and driving is dangerous and stupid. To start off this is discrimination plain and simple against younger drivers not to mention there are "exceptions" or should I say loop holes to the law where it could be argued you had a good reason. BULL! Texting and driving is unacceptable plain and simple. How much ficking money did we joe taxpayer pay these stupid politicians to write this crappy ineffective law? I am all for laws against texting and using cell phones while driving just wish our idiot politicians could write a simple straight forward law that makes sense with no loop holes and all the bull … but I know that will never happen cause there to stupid to know how!

All i will say is that Im 24 Years old with 2 boys. Aug 2 of 2012 I was in a horrible car accident.. Due to me textn and driving... I was texing my friend 2 words THIS SUX when i went off the road. over corrected and hit a telephone pole. Smashed my car , I was thrown into the passenger seat and out the window but the telephone pole slapped me back in. I was rushed to Grant Hospital with HEAD Trauma , and a sever concussion. I am very lucky to be alive today.. I Now will not touch my phone when i am driving. That message can wait. So i really hope that everyone Will obey this law.. I never thot it could happen to me because i thot i was an AMAZING and FAST texter.. WRONG!! So please.. I Hold off on that message you need to send.. Because ur life or someone elses could be takin away in just 2 seconds.

The law will push people to try to hide the fact that they are texting. This will only make the roads that much more dangerous.

I think it's about time. Now people can keep there eyes on the road, and do the speed limit, and go when the light turns green.
