How comfortable should journalists be with sharing their opinions on social media? Is it OK? Risk of credibility vs. having a personality.
Patel: Same could be said of bloggers. I think it’s OK now for someone to have a little bit of an opinion.
De Rosa: Reporters shouldn’ t have to hide their opinions. I know some people still have a problem about that because they shouldn’t have opinions because it could affect their reporting.
Carvin: AP often tries to borrow aesthetic opinion but not writing direct opinions. Style of journalism like analysis or accountability is explaining a landscape, but not really opinion.
Heron: The best way you can be on social media is to give a lot of context without giving an opinion.
