I use the whole fat cheese but less of it. I have to watch the sugar in things and I would rather have less of the best than a substitute that leaves me wanting. My 'diet' plan is to watch portions and to be able to a have a bit of anything I want because I have to make it livable or I won't stick to it. Everyone does what is best for them and for me, this is best, ;)

Low-fat/fat-free cheese is something I have usually not gone near - though cheese is a major contributor to me being overweight, but the lower fat just doesn't taste real. But yogurt, milk, sour cream, cottage cheese I usually eat low-fat or no-fat. I don't eat a ton of processed foods, but if I do I don't tend to go for low-fat/no-fat because I know there is a ton of sugar and/or salt in them.

In WW, fat-free dairy are Power Foods and they urge you to eat them as much as possible as the research shows they are condusive to weight-loss, even if you eat the higher fat and stayed within your points (I was just re-reading all my WW stuff last night)
