My husband took over grocery shopping when he retired first. Years later still does it loves to do it and knows every person at our local giant Eagle by first name. he calls his shopping trips HIS HAPPY HOUR and I love it cause I Hate shopping.

I do most of the shopping, but we also share the job and my husband will often shop by himself after work. Our kids are on special diets and he's great at finding the foods we need!!
