There have been many paths to peace presented in the manga. Which do you think would work best?

I think Naruto has the right idea here. You can't give up on your bonds with others and so long as you fight for them, you'll be able to unite together as one..

Obito has the better idea here. You're are naive if you think that people can ever truly understand each other. Human's are dishonest, selfish and spontaneous and the only true way to peace is to create a new world of control.

I reckon Pain had the best idea. Using fear as a catalyst for peace may not sound pretty, but its the only way to gaurantee efficiency. Wars won't start if people understand that there will be consequences for starting them.

Um, I don't think peace is ever truly possible, no matter what extreme measure you use or what path you follow. Humans will naturally reject any enforced ideal or form of control used on them.
