Went through a similar thing with my wife; She's had shady texts & FB chats with a couple of her ex "friends". All of them romantic context. Never got a sincere apology when I confronted her; instead she got mad & defensive. I still hurt from this. Her out of town business trips have even raised my suspicions. I have always treated my wife well, but not perfectly. We could use some counseling, but my wife is unwilling to do it. She knows (I've proven) that I'm not the kind of man who'll lose control of my emotions, and do something silly. What's both funny & painful is to see her constantly treat me like crap, especially when she's not even aware that I know what she's been saying on texts. A lesson I've learned: after nearly 8 yrs of marriage, this woman hasn't taken the time to really appreciate the kind, gentle person she's married to. In a broader sense, a person can desire a good man or good woman; but discover later that they're clueless about how to treat them good in a relationship.
