Kiva: What do you think?

It is the best! I want more of it! Poor people pulling themselves up with their bootstraps! I love it!

Kiva is not perfect, but it's a start, we don't have to abandon capitalism completely to help people, I'm feeling optimistic

While Kiva does good work and we should stick with it, it is small scale and doesn't affect large scale change, I think we should focus on the bigger picture.

It is the worst! It pushes neoliberal free market principles on the poor, these are the causes of poverty, not the solutions!

Hi Sanjeewani, I like your blog on Kiva, it really took a different slant on things, and showed the radical within. From reading our MF blogs, we all have similar concerns about Micro Finance and now KIVA, but as your survey, puts it is not perfect but it is a start. It strikes me that all of current development approaches are small picture, perhaps because the big picture approach is too hard with many failures in the past. Keep up the left of centre thinking. Great stuff. Karin
