I feel the red light cameras are dangerous. People approach the intersection with enough fear of the light changing that they stomp their brakes if the light changes to yellow. There have been many times that I have narrowly escaped being hit because of the lights. Other cameras such as one in Excelsior Springs does not give a person enough time to go completely across from a complete stop before flashing. This is a trap. IF the TRUE reason for having these cameras IS SAFETY, then donate the money to schools or some charity for accident victims, etc. I believe it is a money trap. PROVE IT!!!
