Thanks, Marcia, Cira, and Irma! I plan to do both ideas. The real question was which one to do first. :-)

And thanks, Lu! Yes, I definitely plan to use both ideas. I'm glad you commented on the writing about towns instead of focusing on one family. I had wondered if anyone else liked that. Since this anthology I'm writing with Jan takes place in 1876, I am planning to use one of the children that the hero and heroine have in a future book in the Nebraska series. I needed more characters to pair up with the Larson, Craftsman, and other characters' children that have popped up along the way as the series expanded. I can't keep pairing up the same families with each other all the time. :D I'm happy you enjoy the way this series has expanded. I never intended for that to be the case, but it's evolved this way.

I like both ideas so which ever one you do not use in the book, please write it as an independent book. Maybe the second one could go with your Nebraska series. My favorite author for many years has been Diana Palmer. Now however, you are also one of my favorite a others. The thing I like the most about both your stories is that both of you have books that run together telling of a whole towns life instead of just one family. It is nice to see how charators turn out.

I like the first option. Have not read a story like that. Sounds like it would be very interesting.

Both options sound interesting. I would enjoy either one.
