Even though it was much farther from my home on 97th St., I went to the "old," "original" Lewis. In fact, when we moved here in 1965, it was the ONLY Lewis of Woodhaven. And old habits die hard. Plus the façade was wonderful--obviously one of the earlier stores in the area. I was in mourning after Lewis closed--maybe still am.
"My Lewis"" was on 85th Street and I miss it soooooooooo much.
