As a kid my Ma did not allow my brother and I to say any N word, Hard R or soft A . So I am a little jaded towards the word period. The only time I heard it used was at summertime Bar-B-Q's by drunk uncles playing spades. People can say whatever they want but the rules were layed down a long time ago No hard R .

Niggah please! I had this discussion with an elderly black lady a few years back. She was against it. I told her I donot use the word in front of people that I know would be offended by it, but my use of the word is to disempower the word. As a kid, I was called a nigger and I bawled like the world was over. As an adult when a punk used it I laughed at his ass so hard and announced to everyone around me "see this white trash cracker callling me a nigger" , the crowd around me just had to join me in laughing at him. The fact that half the crowd were fellow multiple degree holding Nigerians helped
