Read Sugars comments very very carefully. There you have in a nutshell why Spurs haven't and won't compete at the very highest level. Gary is right. It will look nice for the balance sheet ,the coffers, but thats about it. Levy won't go out and reinvest in top playes. One ..maybe two,but the ambition of the Spurs board is to have the best looking balance sheet in the PL..NOT to get champions league football. We will remain also rans.
I don't care if they get 200 grand for Bale. If the desire of top players to come to WHL is non exsistant,AND if Spurs won't invest heavily the way the top teams do..then forget it. It will not happen for us. Whats wrong with the club is the attitude that Sugar has and that attitude is echoed by Lewis and Levy.

The argument about Spurs making the same money by keeping him, getting fourth and playing CL group games is nonsense. It assumes that we would earn nothing without him. The difference between our EPL earnings last year and those of the Woolwich nomads was minimal.

I have been a spurs fan all my life, and all I see is players using spurs to develop them into football players, bale was a no hoper for years but we stood by him now he has become somebody he want to F--K OFF, yes 85 million is nice but some loyalty would be nice, he was as much to blame for spurs not being in the CL as much as the rest of the team, so jump ship bale, you could have been a legend and done some real work but to me at the moment your just a money grabbing W--KER!!!!!!!

The latest is £91 million plus two players . but are they players that Andrea would want? , a big decision for both player and club. My experience is not many players settle down abroad in fact Ian Rush has advised Bale to think carefully about.

From my point of view, I want to watch exciting talent, none more so than Bale at the mo. Problem with a superman in your team, makes the club Vulnerable to injury, loss of form etc, so better to have a quality well rounded team of players than one superstar. £85+ M would buy us 2/3 top players to strengthen the squad enough to clallange top 4. No guarantee though that Levy would spend the cash, and even if he did, would deter top players coming to WHL. So best outcome sell next year when we have qualified for CL.
Ps: Don't trust Sugars judgement, this time last year he wanted AVB sacked, without his (AVB) input Bale would not have made the progress he did.
