This reading challenge has probably been one of the best events that has captured my interest - prior to the summer, I found I could not find time in my life for something so simple as reading a book. How sad is that? However, once I temporarily finished school, even though I had much more time to read, I found that the habit of opening up a good book had left me completely. For a while, I greedily indulged in the irresistible lure of electronics and other various brain-rotters, until I realised that there was still time left to sign up for the Teen Summer Reading Challenge. Right away, I signed out a few books thinking, "ya, whatever, I'm just doing this for the e-reader." But sure enough, I got sucked into my first book and couldn't put it down until I was finished. It was then that I realised that I had never felt to excited and engaged for a long time, and that I had really been missing out. Living without reading is like living without adventure, tears, mystery, fear, excitement, horror, and love...
