Do you use your local public library?

I don't have a lot of time to sit down and read a book so I am always borrowing books on CD's. I have listened to so many different authors by doing this. I also take advantage of the geneology department to work on my family history. I love the library.

My family, especially my kids, use the library a lot. I like to download e-books on my nook and I have 4 library cards from 4 different libraries. If one library is out of the book I want, I check the others. I like being able to brows books anytime I want without getting in the car to go to the library and not worrying about when I have to return them. They just go away. I don't have to have the light on when I read my nook at night. During this time of the year with flu season a threat, I don't worry about picking up germs off the books other people have touched or picking up a flu from touching something at the library where so many other people have been. During the summer, I love the programs they provide and the DVD's they have. It is also a great place to research on employment and just learn something new.

Although we have downloaded books, my husband and I prefer getting books from the library. It is easier on the eyes to read regular books after using a computer all day at work like my husband does. Plus we would rather take borrowed books to appointments to read while waiting than our iPads. We worry about someone taking them.
