The Uganda situation is very disturbing. Harper's magazine had an article on it several years ago and I wrote to the Ugandan Ambassador on this issue. I am sure there has been a lot of concerned comments given to those in positions of responsibility. The legislation was seemingly tabled, and then suddenly is passed. This is very disturbing because the penalties are very high and this such a grievous violation of human rights.
