@Tony you are an arrogant A$$. You can't set a double standard like that. Children need a father too. So it's ok for a man to join the military if he has children but if a woman does she is a bad mother? How bout the fact that she is showing her children that they can do anything and being a true hero to them. Sounds like an awesome mom to me. You need a reality check.

Women have always had to be physically fit in the military. A PT tesst is taken twice a year, just like the men. I Retired in 1995 from the Army.. During my term of service, changes to the physical rediness of women were made. No more modified push ups. Everyone ran two miles, times were adjusted by age for men and women. Sit ups, and push ups. Men have not done chinups in years.

90 days on any training regime would enable a women to do pull ups. In no way should they be able to crawl in under the discrimination clause. That will open up an entire host of other things that aren't required of them. IT IS THE MILITARY!!! AND FRANKLY ANY WOMEN THAT MEETS ALL REQUIREMENTS SHOULD BE OUTRAGED THAT THEIR GOALS AND LIFESTYLE ARE BEING MADE MENIAL.

I Am A Corporal In The Marine Corps, And Yes There Are Women That Can Do It. Sometimes Even Better Than The Men. Those However Are Few And Far Between. I Think The Physical Requirement Should Be Harder And Not allow A Weak Person, Male Or Female To Join Any Military Branch.

The military is no place for a woman. Especially those with children. Gee, leave your children and join the military. Right, thats a good mother

I think female has the strength to be in the military. Now we may not be as strong as a man, but there are things that are more accessible for a woman then for a man which is where having a female in the military is a plus. I female can do just as much as man just in different steps or circumstances.
