The comment made by Ms. Schoenecker regarding reducing the semester to 16 weeks is a weak reason... students are tired???
The mission of the College is to prepare students for employment.. I know of no employer who gives employees vacations every 16 weeks. Many employers give 2 weeks a year vacation total.
Comment regarding trying to coordinate Spring Break for "parents", I thought the motto was " Students First". The break shouod be determined on student needs & how their grade/performance is affected by the time of the semester the break is taken. I attended college in 3 other States & the Spring Break was midway through the semester. v
