Pulp/Dieselpunk/Golden Age Superhero IHMN

As an avid admirer of all things Dieselpunk & Pulp I would like to share my thought on the matter at hand:

The game engine of IHMN is very good at what it tries to emulate... small scale armed conficts between extraordinary and ordinary combatants with an added measure of weird technology. On the superficial level it seems to fit the Pulp/Dieselpunk genre...
Getting the feeling right may be tricky, though: IHMN works fine within its constraints... e.g. shooting is depicted rather convincing, BUT Pulp! works differently... a certain suspense of disbelieve and a devil-may-care attitude are required. IHMN maybe a bit too "straight"... a more cinematic approach may fit the genre better...

IHMN as it stands now would work out-of-the-box for 1920s Gang Fights or Chinese Warlord vs. Cossacks (a la Bacl of Beyond)... for the more "high Pulp" aspects, it would have to be tuned (some would say put on overdrive).
Personally I like the over-the-top style of the 1930s mor:
The 1930s should be the focus of the game - in my mind it is always 1936 when I start a new pulp game...
(right at the moment I'll run a Hollow Earth Expeditions RPG campaign - our heroes are trying to discover an ancient Atlantean Artifect hidden beneath Venice).
In the setting magic and psionics are a must.... whether Lovecraftian, Atlantean or a psi private investigator.
(IHMN would work pretty neat here).

Ii love the period and would love to see a game made like this. I also prefer the 30's vs the 20s. Would be nice if it also included mythos/lovecraftian element.

Unfortunately, I am not a fan of the IHMN engine. I would prefer to see an enhanced gaming engine that provides more tactical depth and more logical outcomes to shooting, HTH, and moral. Also would like to see more emphases on the effects of leadership and command.

If it kept the same IHMN game engine, I would probably not buy it.

Defintely buy a Pulp themed game but more keen on 1930s (which was, after all, the period of Doc Savage, The Phantom, Rocketeer,The Shadow et al) rather than 1920's, as I have no interest in gangsters.
