Were Norwich right to sack Chris Hughton?

I will also make the point that outsiders, who see only results and not the actual games, may well think this is a strange decision. However, the issues is that the football has been utterly dire due to Hughton's negative tactics.

He certainly had every opportunity as he has had two seasons and a considerable budget for this season, relative of course to the lower end of the prem. The simple issue is that he was unable to learn from his mistakes.

For all those who wish to criticise the decision, I leave you with one question. Why have all of our Strikers, Van Wolfswinkel, Hooper, Elamnder, Becchio, Kamara (all Hughton signings), Holt, Morison and Jackson all failed to deliver consistently during their spells over the past two years? Of course you can say it is because they weren't good enough (certainly true of a few), or perhaps that Hughton has been so incredibly unlucky that they have all under performed. However, I believe it proves the point that, sadly, he cannot grasp the complexities of attacking in the premiership.

I can tolerate relegation, I've been there before, but football is about entertainment, something Hughton sadly cannot grasp.

In reply to Corcy's "Was never given a chance by Norwich." He has had 2 seasons and the largest budget of any Norwich manager; and, " rants of fickle, ignorant fans". Those fans still filled Carrow Road when we were relegated to Div 1. In fairness to Mr Hughton, I think he's built a reasonable squad on limited funds, but his ultra cautious tactics have lost us a number of points.

Most pundits have been predicting relegation for some weeks, so why describe an attempt to change things as "bonkers"? If Mr Adams can motivate a team to scrape 3 or 4 points from the last 5 games, then we should stay up. Our performance in home defeat against West Brom demonstrated that Mr Hughton could no longer achieve that.

I have watched norwich in almost every game this season.
Hughton is not a top top manager. He was a poor manager. He had no plan B. Couldn't make a substitution to save his life. And played defensively without a counter attack or direct option. Just sideways passing till we lost the ball.
Everyone says its the wrong decision except the norwich fans. Nobody watches norwich and have no right to dismiss the decision unless its on the grounds that its too late.
If we go down then we were going to have gone down anyway.
    Come on Neyulllll

Was never given a chance by Norwich. He is a top, top manager and has fallen victim to the rants of fickle, ignorant fans who have failed to buy in to his plan. A disgrace - this decision has relegated the Canaries.
