We are now half way through, based on the momentum at this time, would you want to do something like this again?

I like this. It gives me a chance to get out of my rut of 5 or so projects that I keep repeating. Giving it to me piece by piece was nice too because I was not given the chance to see the whole thing and tell myself that I don't want to take the time to make a big "Rex" (whatever kind of creature he is). My tasks were simple, first week make a head, ok that's not a big commitment, this week 4 legs and 2 ears, I can do that and not worry about the body that will be connecting them and the joining that I will have to do (which I hate with a passion). I may try this approach this with some bigger projects in the future, this week I will do this part, then go on with another project, next week another part and so on, otherwise I work on this one til I get tired of dealing with it and it sits around for months til I feel like completing something.

    Mikey!!!!! Mikey!!!!! Mikey!!!!!!
You are such a blessing. I had put down my hook for many many years and during a crisis in my life and your enthusiasm, I picked it up again. You give me something to look forward to every day as I look for your comments on my facebook page. I wanted to try an animal, but didn't feel I could do it (fingers too big, too tight, how do you keep the thing thing together, stuffing - really? eyes, oh forget THAT!) and with your willingness to share what YOU are learning makes it possible for me to actually see how it is done (I am not visual at all) and I can COPY your steps and hear your giggle when you make a mistake that it is such an exciting experience for me. My kids can't believe I'm devoting so much time to crocheting. My crisis is now over and I had thought I was going to put my hook down again, but still after many many crochet Christmas gifts and four months later, you still keep me interested (you tease!!). I have a new-found love for crocheting. My kids think I should be out in the garden growing stuff so I can get some fresh air, so I now sit outside and watch my son plant and I crochet!! Two of them wanted to know why I am doing this and they just don't get it -- until --- the little ruminant came along. My grandkids are so in love with the heads, they are coming every day to my room to see what I have done - I have four so I am making five (thinking of keeping one for myself -- just because). So there you have it!! I've been waiting for the opportunity to tell you all this so here you go!!! Thank you Mike and Dan!!!!!! From the bottom (AND TOP) of my heart.

I think this is the perfect challenge. I work, am a housewife/mother and of course have quite a few WIP's. I like having a lot of time to complete each stage of the project. I can't imagine having enough time to finish an afghan in a month like the other fun projects you show! I am also happy to see new crocheters join in. The experience level of this project is easy enough for even beginners. Your videos and instructions are very well written and understandable. At one point a few years ago, I thought crocheting, knitting, etc. were becoming lost arts that only "your grandmothers" did. (but I taught my daughter to do both anyway.) I am thrilled at the huge upswing in popularity of these crafts and also the new products available due to this increase. Thank you so much for organizing this outstanding group. Your hard work is very much appreciated!!
