No they should not. At this age it should be about having fun not how much money I can make. Umpires don't get paid to do the LLWS games why should the kids. I am a manger in my local Little league I also umpire. I do both for free. These kids need to learn the game and have resecpt for it. If you stare handing out hem money I don't think that would be the case any more.

They get new uniforms, new shoes, new bats, new batting gloves, free room and board, free food when they make it to the LLWS. I think that's plenty. Maybe they should pay for the expenses of the families instead.

Exactly, those years are crucial in a ball players life. If we yet again see money and endorsements turn pre-teens Into materialistic players, then the game itself will be tainted. Compensation for the parents expenses seems harmless, but to pay kids to extend their summer and compete for something they all love; it's just the wrong lesson those young athletes need to be taught. At that age I would be plenty happy with a new hat and bat

As kids they need to fall in love for the game . If we start paying them to pay parents will force this upon kids and a natural hate will come to the sport I have spent years playing.
