This is stupid, its like "not buying gas on Thursday" type things to protest gas prices..guess what, people end up buying gas on Friday at record levels. Nobody cares that black people aren't buying things on sale, all that means is hey those black people at the local store that were goign go be hired...no need for them.

It's called sacrifice, Jay. Fighting for justice is not seasonal (see Birmingham Bus Boycott, and the extent to which it lasted). You can't have you cake and xbox too if you truly want to be free.

I think this could work at a different time of year. To me, the problem here is a black friday boycott won't be enough. The main reason is that most people who spend so much money during this season are people who go Christmas shopping crazy. The people who have their children thinking Christmas is about getting presents. Those individuals who have already promised their children the xbox, playstation, ipad, etc will still make that stuff is under the tree for Christmas. Now that being the case, the item that was $200 on black friday may be $300-$400 a few days later. The items will still be bought just because it's Christmas. The result...... the customer spending MORE & the retailer making MORE. Has anyone thought about this???
