Should black media be held to a different standard when covering the rape accusations against Bill Cosby?

Its amazing that African American people can see justice in anything the European media presents. FOX news for one, George Bush election, convicting innocent men in the media, the promotion of Middle east weapons of mass destruction when there is none, planes into the twin towers 911. But engineers say it was done by the government. I am riding with Bill Cosby . He had just proposed creating a all Black network and approach hollywood and got turned down. They are trying to discredit him now to discourage investors. Ask yourself why are they pushing this mess now??? Why now?? Do you know how long this type of info was know?? And dont forget their have been women who have step up and said this was and is a lie.. ! Educated Negro's are the first to believe bullshit . Until they are put in the hot seat.. The Moslem Community is with you Bill???

The "tell it like it is" statement is right on point. Mayor Marion Barry was a crack head but he did his best for his constituents. But most importantly he owned his bad behavior. Mr. Cosby has not admitted to these charges but his vague statements do not speak to his innocence. His verbal requests are to obtain a "PASS". What up wit that?

    Mr. Bill
Why do you call for Black media to be neutral? Were you neutral when you traveled to different college campus' berating Black people? You referred to Black people as being worthless, uneducated, immoral, senseless but you raped 22 women sir. You cannot get much more immoral and senseless than that. You called for churches to manage Black people in their neighborhoods. Where was your religious leader when you drugged underage women for your erotic pleasures? Did you confess your intents before they became sins? In most of your speeches, you stated that Black people should do things to make Jesus smile. Do you think Jesus smiled when you drugged and forced sex on 22 little girls and women? Do you think Jesus smiled when you cheated on your wife by forcing sex on other women? Sir, there is one lesson you should have learned throughout your lifetime: Never throw stones when your house is made of glass. Now you have been exposed for who you really are. Don't expect any support or neutrality from Black media or Black people . Black media needs to report your story just like other media outlets and follow the reporting habits of Fox News when reporting on you.

A bit ironic that Cosby spent years talking down to black people now he comes back to the folk when his hide in his trouble again. I'm not fooled by this...

Anyone who votes other then the media being completely honest should not be taken seriously. The truth is the truth no matter where it goes.

This clearly is a stupid question. The vast majority of "Black Media" is owned and operated by white people. Cathy Hughes owns Hughes Communication, Radio One and Tv One. I cannot think of any other "black owned media"...can you? Since there is only ONE, it is a stupid request. The numbers of women coming forward are severe blows to Cosby's credibility. He is a predator and his chickens have come home to roost...he needs to face it.

i really don't understand how the media can find someone guilty of 30 year old accusations. The grand jury can not find police guilty (indict) with evidents and charges a couple of months old. IJS

    Is it an American thing.

The black media has to be careful because blacks have been treated unfairly by the general media. However this story should be reported fairly and accurately. Raping women is too big of an issue to ignore. One way to present a fair picture is to also tell the stories of other celebrities who have similar issues. But the story must be told. Also I agree with other comments about Cosby criticizing blacks but now wanting extra consideration from the black media.

It's insulting that a poll asks whether black media should treat Cosby differently. Journalists are journalists, Regardless of race, gender, religion or political affiliation, good journalists take the responsibility of reporting fairly seriously. To imply that black journalists might in some way be different seems a touch of the racist thinking that's created other black stereotypes.

Non bias news is truthful news unless the fact are in. Their so many reason to bring a man like Bill Cosby down, especially during these times. Its very calculated. The accusations are from the 60's 70's. If you go back to those days 80 percent of all powerful people can be discredited. Why now is my question! Is it to kick a man down when he seem to not be able to fight! I doubt if its that simple. Is it to distract him from addressing more important issues and concerns in this country??? Hmm! That is something to think about. The man have more money then he need, so they can't break him. Now check it! Who really murdered his son? Interesting right! Surface info. Will tell you anything; something like the media right! Interesting! If people and media can sabotage our sitting president than it would seem really simple they could be doing the same with this man. Whats the motive for these witness? Good question! Maybe, money? Maybe! How about having something on a witness that can destroy them and money on top of that? Interesting! But who am I to say! I tell you one thing i have a choice to pre judge or not and i choose not to judge. Good for me right? Right!

Why! Bill Cosby recognizes himself by both standards. He compares Blacks to the standards of Whites so show np favoritism. Stick to the point. Right is right and wrong is wrong in the name of womanhood.

The only way any media outlet white or black can remain neutral is to report the facts minus the commentary......but we know that's not going to happen

Cosby gave white media permission to ignore systematic racism for years, now like many black celebrities he is looking for the black community to give him cover.

The News Media should report the news without Bias, without judgemental reporting, and without assumption of guilt. I do not know when the shift of news changed; now news reporters are the judges and the jurors.
I assume that Mr. Crosby is expecting the black reporters to not get caught up in this type of reporting especially when it comes to it's own.
