    Scrooge businesses like Merle Hay Mall and Target have kicked them out so there are fewer places to give.

    many people are struggling just to put milk in the fridge They cant afford to help others.

    I don't give them because the bells are annoying and the people who work here in the Metro are snobby ( not the bell ringers ) the actually people on the pay roll do it to get the recognition and line their pockets!

    Neither. I don't think people have the extra money to give to charities. Everything seems to go up except for wages or interest on your money.

    The reason people don't give is because they are hurting themselves because the economy is getting better but it just has not happened for them.

    I think it is really neither of the two choices. People are still hurting in this false recovery, there is very little extra in most budgets for giving.

    Most people I know don't contribute to the Salvation Army because of their position toward gay marriage and gay issues.
