Strange that Sicial Learning gets up so high in the ranks! We have always known that "social aspects" in learning have been important but the reality is that tools like Yammer and SharePoint are not really working within learning solutions! Until now most of these initiatives have died, because they were all driven by technology first and lacked methodology! I believe that approaches based on a good methodology, like "5 Moments of Need" with a set of technologies that are true learning focused technologies, such as powerful adaptive learning and performance support tools are the way to go.
