tattoos are a statement of individuality and it should not be taken away

I completely disagree. I'm 16, and I've been planning what I would want my first tattoo to be since I was fourteen. I'm aware this will last forever, and it's my body. But the government can mind their own freaking business.

I'm 19 and got my first tat about 4 weeks ago but I've had perantal consent since I was 16 the only reason I waited was because I was trying to find one that would represent me and where I came from mind you I had several picked out I just couldn't ever decide on one. So I think this is stupid if their parents are ok with it and they have one they want and can pay for it themselves then who are you the "law makers" to say wether or not parents can allow their children to get a tattoo.

I don't think Mormons should even get a vote in this. They are not trained to think outside the box, & these choices don't make a difference in their lives.

I think it's stupid. We as parents have the say over our children. The gov or gov agencies DO NOT have that say. My daughter who is 2 1/2 months from 18 started her first tat at 17. It's a family tat and holds a ton of meaning. She knows along with her siblings that at 17 we will allow it ONLY if it holds meaning. No damn crosses or grim reapers. I'm responsible for my children and their actions. Stop trying to take a away our rights. Worry about big issues and I will worry about my children. This bill either way will not stop or effect our children getting a tats if they want them. My husband does them on us. None the less politicans who can't even run Utah or the country correctly will not stick their noses into my parenting.

I think the age should be 21! Any younger then that your more likely to get a tatoo that you'll regret in the future! Im not against tatoos but I think that if you get a tatoo it should have meaning or represent something/someone special in your life! (Like your children/family!)

I disagree. It will be like everything else that laws want to control. If you take that away their will be more teenagers getting tattoos from friends that do not have the proper equipment or use unclean needles and the art will not look as good as licensed tattoo artist. Just like abortions, if you take this away they will find a place that is unsafe and do as well.

This is stupid. I strongly disagree. My first tattoo I got when I was 17 and I don't regret it. It's none of anyone's business either. It's our bodies if our parents wanna sign then they shouldn't worry about it. They shouldn't worry about if we're gonna like our tattoo in 20 years. It's not on their body soo they should have no say.
