Let's talk about the Grammy Beck should have won. The year Midnite Vultures was nominated (2001) Beck lost to Steely Dan. My theory: the Grammys are becoming like the Oscars. Awards are given out based on someone's body of work or to make up for an "oops" in the past.

I still haven't listened to the Beyoncé album so I had to go with Beck on this one. With that being said there were plenty of albums more John Blaze than that Beck joint, Beyoncé may be one of them. People really watch the GRAMMYs to see if what that can add to their specific agenda. I only use the GRAMMY nominations to catch up on some music I may have missed during the year. I stopped taking the GRAMMYs serious when I learned Little Richard didn't win any. That nigga invented Rock n Roll.
